Ride your energy, don't let it ride you

Ride your energy,
don't let it ride you

Kundalini Yoga isn’t just another fitness trend.
It’s an ancient science that works directly with your life force energy — prana.
This vital energy is always in motion, presenting a fundamental choice:

Will you direct this force, or will it direct you?

You can either rise above the energy and ride it,
or stay beneath it and let it ride you.

In essence, Kundalini Yoga guides you to become the master of your own energy.

By learning to “ride” your energy skillfully, you’ll discover a newfound ability to tap into your inner power and direct it consciously.
This practice empowers you to shape your life from within, setting the stage for profound transformation.

This practice provides simple yet powerful tools to:

Melt away stress

Let go of what’s holding you back

Lift your mood and boost your energy

Calm anxiety and ease depression

Take care of your body and overall health

Love both yourself and your life

FAQ — Kundalini Yoga

Absolutely! If you can breathe, you can practice Kundalini Yoga. This isn’t about perfecting poses or being super flexible — it’s about connecting with your inner energy and awareness. Every class offers modifications, and you’ll be guided to work at your own pace. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or have never stepped on a mat, you’re welcome here.

Think of Kundalini energy as your untapped potential — like a coiled spring of creativity, vitality, and awareness resting at the base of your spine. This ancient Tantric practice aims to awaken this dormant cosmic energy within you, drawing it through your seven chakras or energy centers. When we work with this energy through Kundalini Yoga, we’re not adding anything new; we’re simply activating what’s already within you — your natural power source waiting to be awakened. This awakening brings unique benefits to each person, from increased energy and clearer intuition to more balanced emotions and natural confidence. Remember, this isn’t about forcing a dramatic one-time awakening. It’s a gradual, natural process of becoming more aware and alive, allowing your innate energy to flow more freely at your own perfect pace.

Unlike other yoga styles that primarily focus on physical postures, Kundalini Yoga is a comprehensive practice combining movement, breath, meditation, and sound. We call it the “Yoga of Awareness” because it works on your entire system — physical, mental, and energetic. Each class offers a gentle, encouraging, yet sometimes challenging experience where you can explore your true nature and potential. And remember, on days when motivation is low, discipline becomes our friend, helping us show up for ourselves and set a positive tone for the day.

While both practices work with Kundalini energy, they approach it very differently. Kundalini Yoga empowers you with tools and techniques to work with your own energy — you’re in complete control of your practice. Through specific breathing techniques, movements, meditation, and mantras, you learn to gradually awaken and direct your energy yourself. KAP, on the other hand, relies on facilitators to activate your energy through direct transmission. In my classes, I choose to teach the time-tested technology of Kundalini Yoga because it puts the power in your hands. You develop your own relationship with the practice, learn to trust your inner wisdom, and build a sustainable foundation for transformation that you can access anytime, anywhere.

A Kundalini Yoga class is a dynamic experience that includes breathing exercises, movement, meditation, and often mantra (sacred sound). We typically begin with tuning in, move through a specific set of exercises, and end with relaxation and meditation. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect — just come with an open mind and heart. Your only task is to stay present and observe how your body and mind respond.

Beyond physical flexibility, you might notice reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, greater mental clarity, enhanced creativity, and more balanced emotions. The practice also strengthens your nervous system and deepens self-awareness. The beauty is that each person’s experience is unique, and benefits often show up in unexpected areas of life.

When practiced regularly, Kundalini Yoga helps clear mental and emotional blocks, enhances intuition, and deepens connection with your authentic self. You might find yourself making different choices, feeling more confident, or handling challenges with greater ease. These changes aren’t about becoming someone else – they’re about becoming more fully yourself.

Kundalini Yoga works systematically with your body’s natural energy systems, producing consistent, measurable results. It activates specific energetic pathways while working with your glandular and nervous systems. Through regular practice, you develop heightened awareness and access to your creative potential. It’s a practical technology for transformation, validated by both traditional practice and modern research.

Yes! One of the beautiful things about Kundalini Yoga is its adaptability. Every exercise can be modified to accommodate your needs. Just let me know about any limitations before class, and I’ll guide you to appropriate modifications. Remember, the most important alignment in Kundalini Yoga is with your own body’s wisdom.

Yes! Kundalini Yoga can be wonderfully supportive during pregnancy, but with important modifications, especially after the first trimester. Please inform me about your pregnancy before class so I can guide you appropriately. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting or continuing any yoga practice during pregnancy.

While Kundalini Yoga can be powerful, it’s not about pushing yourself to extremes. The practice meets you exactly where you are. Some exercises might challenge you, while others focus on gentle movement or meditation. What makes it powerful isn’t physical intensity, but its ability to work on multiple levels — energetic, mental, and physical. Remember, you’re always encouraged to go at your own pace and listen to your body.

When practiced with proper guidance and respect for your own pace, Kundalini Yoga is completely safe. Your body is naturally designed to work with this energy — after all, it’s already yours! In my classes, we focus on a balanced, steady approach, always honoring your body’s wisdom and natural timing. What makes this practice powerful isn’t that it’s dangerous, but that it’s effective in creating positive transformation.

Yes! This is particularly close to my heart because Kundalini Yoga played a crucial role in my own healing journey from depression. The practice offers specific techniques that work directly with your nervous system and brain chemistry. Through conscious breathing, movement, and meditation, you develop tools to remain centered even in challenging situations. When we work with Kundalini energy, we’re not just managing symptoms — we’re addressing root causes of emotional imbalances. Many practitioners find they respond to stress and anxiety with more awareness and resilience, rather than getting swept away by it.

While practicing together in person has its special energy, online classes offer their own unique benefits. You can practice from your comfortable space, integrate the teachings directly into your home environment, and maintain consistency regardless of location. The energy and benefits translate beautifully online – all you need is an open mind and willingness to engage.

Keep it simple. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow you to move freely. For in-person classes, mats and props are provided (though you’re welcome to bring your own). For online classes, you’ll just need a quiet space, a mat, and perhaps a cushion and blanket. The focus is on the practice, not the gear.

Not at all! While some practitioners choose to wear white because it’s said to expand your aura, what matters most is that you’re comfortable. Wear whatever allows you to move freely and feels good to you. The focus is on your practice, not your outfit.

Like any transformative practice, consistency matters more than intensity. Even practicing once a week can bring noticeable benefits. As you begin to experience the effects, you might naturally want to practice more. Listen to your body and life circumstances — this practice is about supporting your life, not adding stress to it.

Of course! While Kundalini Yoga has spiritual roots, it’s ultimately a technology for well-being and self-awareness. Think of it like charging your phone — you don’t need to understand electricity to benefit from plugging in. The practice works whether you approach it for spiritual growth or simply as a tool for better health and clarity.

Mantras are tools for focusing the mind and creating specific vibrations in the body — think of them like tuning forks for your consciousness. However, if you’re not comfortable chanting aloud, you can always listen, hum along, or repeat the sounds mentally. There’s no pressure — do what feels authentic to you.
